What is PRESTO ? People Really Enthusiastically Supporting The Orchestra
Presto is a non-profit organization whose membership consists of parents and friends of students enrolled in the orchestra programs at Shawnee Mission West High School in Overland Park Kansas. Our sole purpose and function is to support the orchestra programs at SM West by providing both financial and volunteer support. Presto has supported the orchestra financially with purchases of sheet music, orchestra room equipment and supplies, and instruments. Presto provides annual scholarship awards to graduating seniors. Presto provides volunteer support in areas such as chaperones, uniform care, communication with parents and assistance to the Director.
Everything we do supports our students in their pursuit of music excellence, and we need your help!

Our neighborhood Black Dog Coffeehouse will be at West Thursday evening, February 11th selling regular and decaf coffee, specialty expresso drinks, frappes and smoothies during conferences. You’ll find the coffee stand just outside of the main gym at the end of the Bridge. 1/3rd of all proceeds will go to PRESTO for West Orchestras. Be sure to stop by for a coffee drink or smoothie on your way to conferences or on your way home. You’ll be able to support your students, our West orchestra program and enjoy a delicious Black Dog coffee drink all at the same time: Thursday, February 11th, from 5-7 PM!
