What is PRESTO ?   People Really Enthusiastically Supporting The Orchestra

Presto is a non-profit organization whose membership consists of parents and friends of students enrolled in the orchestra programs at Shawnee Mission West High School in Overland Park Kansas. Our sole purpose and function is to support the orchestra programs at SM West by providing both financial and volunteer support. Presto has supported the orchestra financially with purchases of sheet music, orchestra room equipment and supplies, and  instruments. Presto provides annual scholarship awards to graduating seniors. Presto provides volunteer support in areas such as chaperones, uniform care, communication with parents and assistance to the Director.

Everything we do supports our students in their pursuit of music excellence, and we need your help!

During registration/fee payment (August 3rd and 4th),the Orchestra booster club (PRESTO) will have a table selling jewelry - a build your own item with various pendants (Viking logo, and other designer styles) from which to choose! Pendants will cost $10.00.  All proceeds will go into the SMW orchestra general trip fund.

WE NEED SOME HELP:  Orchestra students or parents to assist in manning the table on August 3rd and 4th. We need one or two people to help with the following shifts:

August 3rd -- 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

               12:30 - 2:30 pm

                    2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

August 4th -- 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

                    12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

             4:30 - 6:30 pm

                                  6:30 pm - 8:15 pm (closing)
